CSC DAY
CSC Day is an annual event organised by NUS CSC to bring together beneficiaries from 3 sectors:
Children/Youth, PWID and Elderly/Terminally Ill.
Our beneficiaries mainly come from CSC’s RVP organisations as we aim to bridge the gap between CSC and NUS students.
PAST ITERATIONS
CSC DAY XV: FLORESCO
Entering its 15th year, CSC Day XV – Floresco, expanded to include an internal publicity drive and Sector-Based Outings, in addition to its traditional one-day event. Our theme was "Flora and Fauna” as we hoped to raise awareness for the environment. We hope that our beneficiaries have learnt to appreciate nature and enjoyed themselves, and that volunteers engaged in meaningful interactions and continue volunteering with CSC.

SECTOR-BASED OUTINGS
Sector-Based Engagement Session is a new initiative of CSC Day XIV which aims to bring together beneficiaries of the same sector and empower them through activities that are catered to their needs. In this iteration, they brought the beneficiaries to Gardens by the Bay on 2 separate days (Children/Youth on one day and Elderly & Intellectually Disabled on the other)
MAIN EVENT DAY
It was a large-scale one-day carnival-like event held in NUS campus, gathering beneficiaries from the different social service sectors such as persons with intellectual disability (PWID), elderly, and children and youth sectors for a fun day of food and games.
CSC DAY XV: GAME ON
For our 16th iteration, we took on the theme of games. The beauty of games is that it can act as a common language across all generations. Thus, this theme was chosen as we hope to bring all sectors together through a series of gameplay and fun interactions.

This year, CSC Day XVI is excited to welcome the spirit of giving, where all participants from the various sectors will come together and create a Gift of Friendship for the sector gift exchange.

PHASE 1: PUBLICITY DRIVE
A series of Instagram posts and challenges were released on our social media platforms to garner attention for our project and spread awareness for our beneficiaries

PHASE 2: SECTOR BASED SESSIONS
A series of Instagram posts and challenges were released on our social media platforms to garner attention for our project and spread awareness for our beneficiaries

PHASE 3: CSC DAY MAIN DAY
During our main event, volunteers from across NUS bond with our participants from different sectors. Through the games catered to the interests of the different sectors and the process of meeting each other, the objective of CSC Day to allow volunteers and participants to have fun in a day of love and interaction is achieved.

HEAR FROM OUR VOLUNTEERS
CSC Day was a fun-filled experience that challenged the conventional ways of volunteering by engaging with the various communities entirely online. Through the sessions, I was able to learn more about the different sectors of beneficiaries that CSC engages with. Seeing everyone putting in their best efforts to bring smiles to the various communities makes this whole journey that much more special.
CSC Day has been quite an eye-opening experience for me as I get exposed to beneficiaries from different sectors at the same time. Although for this iteration, the activities were mostly held online, the sense of achievement I get when I see that the participants are truly enjoying themselves is still immense. On a whole, this project is really fulfilling and I'm glad to be part of it.
Through csc day, I was able to interact with people from different sectors & learn new perspectives! Although conducting sessions online was challenging, it was truly fulfilling to see the beneficiaries & volunteers bonding and enjoying themselves through the activities!
