REGULAR VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMMES

Regular Volunteering Programmes (RVPs) focus on volunteering on a regular basis. Currently, we work with children, youth, elderly, persons with life-limiting illnesses, as well as persons with intellectual disability!

OUR PROGRAMMES

Currently, we have 13 RVPs across 4 sectors. Click on each sector to find out more!

CHILDREN & YOUTH

In this sector, RVPs work with community members studying in primary schools and/or secondary schools, who may come from underprivileged environment. Besides tutoring and mentoring, volunteers from Clementi Youth Sparks, TEACH! and Yishun Reading Odyssey also act as role models for the children and youths. Meanwhile, Dayspring focuses more on building life skills through hands-on activities with their community members

ELDERLY

In this sector, the RVPs work with the elderly seniors, most of whom face difficulty with mobility and risks of social isolation. Volunteers provide services such as befriending and helping out with housework, to provide socio-emotional and physical support.

PERSONS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES

In this sector, the RVPs work with persons with Intellectual Disability. The community members vary in age and level of support required. Through planned activities, volunteers seek to befriend as well as to enhance social and/or life skills of the community members.

HEALTHCARE

In this newly formed sector, the RVPs work with community members in medical, healthcare settings to enhance their wellbeing and establish strong companionship. Volunteers can expect to engage in befriending and hands-on activities like crafts and festive celebrations! This is our commitment of expanding our volunteering opportunities and outreach for NUS undergraduates.
