Sparkseed is an annual ideathon that provides a platform for participants to compete, innovate, and inject new ideas into the volunteering and social work scene.
In this iteration, Sparkseed III worked with four partner organisations - Heartware Network, SHINE Children & Youth Services, Impart Singapore, and FaithActs, to provide sector-based workshops, volunteering opportunities and pitching consultations that helped craft the pitches made by our participants who came from ITEs, polytechnics, junior colleges and university.
HEAR FROM OUR VOLUNTEERS
I learnt that volunteering is more than a small service action, but can actually help people in need when it matters most.
I would definitely integrate some presentation tips that I learned from other groups that have presented into my future presentation. For example, I commend the voice projection from the previous team and would like to work towards the same level. The team had also integrated things for their solutions such as profiling, value proposition and feasibility which further supports their proposals and increases the depth of their pitches.
